This is really touching Barb, Thank you for sharing. When I first moved to the town in which I live I needed to find a Dr. The group I joined only had two Dr's & 1 nurse practitioner. Since joining 7yrs ago one of the Dr's has left, but it was & is so nice to have the small town doctor care. My Dr. even sent the police to my house once on a wellness check, I had had a CT scan done the night before & it turned out that I had two blood clots in my lung, & he thought I might have died. I like going there & knowing that everyone knows me & I them.....it's refreshing not to be just a number on a chart.

WOW U KNOW HOW TO GET THE WATER WORKS GOING THIS TOUCHES ME SO SO SO MUCH AS WITH MY ONE FAMILY DR I HAD FOR 10 YEARS THEN SHE MOVED ON 2 WORK WITH STROKE PATIENTS THE DAY SHE HAD TO TELL ME WAS ON MY B-DAY I THOUGHT I WAS JUST GOING IN FOR A FOLLOW UP & WHEN SHE SAID IT ALL WE BOTH COULD DO IS BAWL YEAH WE DID SHE WASN'T JUST A DR TO ME SHE WAS & STILL IS MY FRIEND I WENT OUT & GOT HER A NECKLACE - MADE HER A CARD - A BEAUTIFUL SILK FLOWER POT & A NURSE TOOK SOME PIC'S OF US THAT WAS SO VERY HARD ON ME TO HEAR HER SAY THIS AS SHE HAS BEEN THRU ALOT WITH ME - NOW TO TELL U HOW GOOD SHE WAS WHEN I LOST MY RIGHT KIDNEY & I WAS UP WALKING & HAD MY BACK TO THE DOOR & I HEARD THIS VOICE & I KNEW RIGHT AWAY IT WAS MY VICKI & I HAD NOT SLEP AT ALL SINCE DAY BEFORE WHEN THEY TOOK IT SHE SAT DOWN & THINK WE TALKED ALL I REMEMBER BEING TOLD AFTER I WOKE UP YEAH GUESS SHE PUT ME TO SLEEP THAT SHE HAD SAT THERE OVER 2 HRS READING THE PAPER TO MAKE SURE I WAS OK & IT WAS EVEN HER DAY OFF FOR SOMEONE TO DO THAT FOR ME IS ONE IN A MILLON ---- THEN COUPLE YEARS LATER I GET THIS PHONE CALL AT NITE & I KNEW RIGHT AWAY IT WAS HER EVEN THO SHE WASN'T MY DR. ANYMORE SHE WAS CALLING TO CHECK UP ON ME & THAT MEANT SO SO SO MUCH TO ME I WILL NEVER EVER FORGET ALL SHE HAD DONE FOR ME - SO I GOT THIS VASE THAT SHE HAD SENT ME & I WENT & FIND SILK FLOWERS JUST LIKE HERS(CLOSE TO THEM) & NOW I HAVE SOMETHING THAT WILL ALWAYS BE A PART OF ME & SHE TOLD ME THAT HERS R IN HER NEW OFFICE & EVERYTIME SHE LOOKS AT THEM SHE THINKS OF ME & MINE OUR IN MY FRONT HALLWAY......

Such a touching story. How nice to know there are some doctors that actually are touched by the patients and their families, which they treat. We are blessed to have such physicians and for those who have encountered them (Angel), how fortunate and blessed you are! The physicians take an oath to treat and cure in a professional manor but the Kindness is a true giving from their heart!
