A Life Skills Group Community Group
All are welcome to join our group. We're here to share advice, encouragement, and ideas on how to build better lives for ourselves. We can discuss all aspects of daily living, along with anything else that’s on your mind. Each of us knows a little, and together, we know a lot that can help us each to reach higher and go further in life. There's such a lot...

You cant always tell what a person is about by the way they dress, for example, that women who has part of her head shaved and the rest of her hair spiked and blue, her face with piercings and tattoos over her body, her ripped jeans and her studded top, she might look like a scary Mary, but its possible she was bullied so much as a child, she grew into all that to frighten pple off with her image.
And the women i described as above showing it all off, some of those women have little self esteem, and it makes them "feel good" by the attention they get.
I love Dancing with the Stars, but Empathy, I agree about leaving something to the imagination. I know the dancers need freedom of movement, but its not necessary to be nearly bare. And Im not a prude either. Now the male dancers are going shirtless a lot. As a woman, yeh, theyre attractive, but its too much.
Other people are clearly dressing as a way to show an outward manifestation of an inner mental disturbance. I have seen people enter government buildings in their pajamas (sleep wear). I have seen men in swim wear that looks like women's panties, and wearing no shirts, at supermarkets, on cold days. What were they thinking? Maybe they weren't!
Last Sunday at the Lutheran Church I attended, most of the men wore shirts with collars and long sleeves, a few wore neckties, and at least one man was wearing a full suit with jacket. That was nice. Some Sunday I'll have to wear at least a necktie if I can do it without appearing too pretentious.
I myself have gotten into the bad habit of wearing blue jeans too often. I need to start wearing khakis and dress trousers more often. But one thing I can say is that i don't wear t-shirts. I wear polo shirts, the type of shirt that looks like a t-shirt, but buttons halfway up the chest and has a collar.
I don't want to say this too often, but dressing nicely really is a form of politeness. You don't have to wear expensive clothes, just moderately priced, sensible, attractive clothes. It is rude to habitually dress like a bum when you have the means to dress better. Don't save your good clothes only for special occasions, but also wear them when you want to exhibit your good manners. If you are dressed like a bum, it should be because you're going to be doing some dirty work and you don't want to damage your good clothes.
We're still ourselves in every situation; we can meet the circumstances half way.
