A Leaders Forum Community Group
A Leaders Forum is for Group Founders, Group Administrators, and anyone who is thinking about starting a discussion group on the Daily Strength Website. We discuss how to start a group, how to keep it growing, how to keep daily activity high, and other aspects of managing discussion groups. Would you like to change the world? If so, please come join our group!
their own friends list and invite whoever they think
would enjoy and benefit from joining "CLUB FUNNY BONE".
to give me support simply by joining my group
which is "CLUB FUNNY BONE".
Thanks Beaumont for being the first from here to join!
What about the rest of you? Please check it out!
One way to allow more people to know about your group is to click on "Edit Group," on your group's page, then go to "Main Group Settings," and click on the arrow in the "Category" box; you can move your group to different community pages. I move my groups about three times a week, going down the alphabetically arranged list from the beginning.
While you're there in the group settings, you can also change the background color of your group, and you can change it as often as you like. : - )

Which reminds me, activity in the Leaders Forum isn't as high as it could be, so that means I need to get busy and start inviting new people to join us!
Example of a reminder checklist:
Once each month invite all friends to join the Conspiracy Theories Group
[] Oct
[] Nov
[] Dec
[] Jan
[] Feb
[] Mar
[] Apr
[] May
[] Jun
[] Jul
[] Aug
[] Sep
P.S.: I don't know if there actually is a Conspiracy Theories Group on this website, but it sure could be fun for someone to start. They're coming to get us - the gov't, the secret societies, the corporations - conspiracy nuts, unite! ;-)
If you get some really active members, the group will build itself, people who join will invite their friends and people who join the group will be more likely to stay.
Also activity is a good long term strategy for increasing membership.
I put a recommendation in the depression support group for DAPA, telling people that the group was updated daily and telling them to click on the link to find out.
