my first thought was to blow them all up and try running though them.Then i realized i wouldnt have the energy after blowing them all up.my second thought was now ive got them blow up try taking a ride somewhere with them

I like seeing balloons float in the air. Would be nice to fill them with helium and let them go. Cool to put some kind of message in it for anyone that finds one.

I would put them in a room with my 20 cats and rub the balloons all over their fur so that the balloons stick to them and then start the video recorder! LOL! Good one, Beaumont!

Thanks, MRSWOO. Did you know that on July 2, 1982, Larry Walters tied 45 helium-filled weather balloons to a lawn chair and went up, up, and away? Since the original 'flight of the lawn chair', there have been a few imitators, with usually disastrous results, so let's not try this one at home, kiddies! This is an amazing true story, and I'll try to put the full details here in A Laughter Club when time allows so that everyone can read about it.

Splash62, before you give your grandchildren a pin, you could put them to work blowing up all those balloons, and maybe you could show them tricks like how to blow up a balloon inside another balloon, or how to place candy or other small things inside balloons before inflating them.

Take two uninflated balloons, and push one ballon inside the other, with the neck of the inner balloon sticking out by about an inch. Inflate the inner balloon first, tie it up, and push it inside the outer balloon. Then inflate the outer balloon and tie it up. Try using different color balloons to see what the new resulting colors will be.

Survivable, I know cats go bonkers when they hear the sound of a vacuum cleaner, but I'm not sure what they do when they hear balloons go POP!!! I wonder what a cat would do if you tied a string to the end of a balloon and then tied the string to a doorknob so that the balloon would be a couple of inches off the floor - would kitty bat at the balloon with a paw? I'm not sure how a dog would react to a balloon - after all, it's not food, and it could be tricky to catch in a canine jaw grasp, but if you ever experiment, please let us know what Fluffy and Spot think of us odd humans and our wacky balloons!

Lizgirl, you could set up a special email account and put the email address on slips of paper in small plastic bottles tied to the balloons, including a request that the finder send the location of where the balloon was found to the email address. On the outside of the bottles you could write 'Message for you inside - please open and read'. You could even send a special note from you to whoever finds the messages. What would you like them to know?

Catslave, we'll be watching for your video! You could take a felt tip marker and draw cat faces, complete with whiskers, on the balloons, and if you tied a string to each balloon, that would be the cat's tail. Meow?

Better yet, use a length of colored yarn instead of string!

Nhcountrygirl, is it possible to put Jello into a balloon and then refrigerate it until it gels - never mind, bad idea. But hey, if you put soapy water into the balloons, and added children and animals into the mix, everybody would come out carwash clean! Just joshing you! ; - )
