I got things on clearance and sale for the living room for the walls and got someone to slap a coat of paint on there and it looks great. In fact, I got rid of the bigger lamp and got a smaller one for the living room that was on a good sale and it's smaller, has more color and I put in a "warm" bulb instead of a "bright white" bulb. It casts a nice warm light to it. at night.
My bedroom has been changed with a new coat of paint and I got a package of white sheer curtains on clearance that have some sparkle to them and they go over the blinds. The sparkle feels like it sparkles just for me.
I also found two posters of famous artwork that are about 11 x 16 and pick cats or dogs that look like yours. I found frames for them at Walmart and hung them in my bedroom. They make me smile every time I look at them. So I found the Ragdoll cats that look like my cat I call The Boss and here's the two artwork poster I now have on my bedroom walls:
