A Child Abuse Survivors Group Community Group
We survived child abuse, but the pain still remains and so do the other effects which can last a lifetime. We are often unable to find adequate help, and we are seeking answers that can help us understand what happened so that we can go on to lead normal lives. (Please note that this is a group for child abuse survivors only. If you are a professional in the mental health...
My most recent ocd theme is worrying about my neighbors attacking me. It's embarrassing and just crazy to try to pick on people out of my own insanity. So today I took upon myself to make sure I spent this beautiful Sunday out of the house. I did and I'm very happy that I ended up having an enjoyable day IN SPITE OF all the worries, obsessive thinking, panic attacks and ptsd outbursts. Those things aren't going away whether or not I go to the park.
I get desperate, lonely and isolation is the worst thing. Today I feel resilient. This is progress as I used to have entire weeks feeling like this.
I do like the degree of anonymity that the boards provide; maybe there could be some kind of compromise? Not all anonymous, and not all people we know. I perfectly know what it is to try to trust people, especially with my mindset. I "attempt" to trust people "knowing that they are not trustworthy", so I choose the wrong people to trust, the wrong things to trust and when it blows on my face I'm like "I told you I shouldn't trust people".
It's just part of the process. Hugs and let's just try to live the best we can in spite of.
