This has recently had a favorable impact on my life after being in the dumps for some time. Being faced with a negative situation calls first for acknowledgement, then a conscious choice to be made as to your intent. Choosing goodness has brought me goodness I am happy to say.
It doesn't have to be anything momentous, just some accomplishment and I feel better.
Like yesterday, during soloist practice, the director stops after mine and says, "that is the first time I have heard the words to that song, you all need to learn better diction from Sunny".
My teacher was very proud. She will remind me to feel good about my successes.
I have all my life enjoyed the music; it helped me to "feel" something inside me. ( where I was dead inside.)
Right now I'm rockin' to the 80's on my laptop. Aretha Franklin ;," We are ridin on the freeway of love in a Pink Cadillac!"
Believe me, it does not take much to amuse me. One HUGE thing I learned about myself at an early age; and I (figured out by myself), is to be able to be relatively content and happy with the little things in life. In other words , simple.
