A Child Abuse Survivors Group Community Group
We survived child abuse, but the pain still remains and so do the other effects which can last a lifetime. We are often unable to find adequate help, and we are seeking answers that can help us understand what happened so that we can go on to lead normal lives. (Please note that this is a group for child abuse survivors only. If you are a professional in the mental health...
My favorite things to do are reading, knitting, gardening, and playing music. I started playing bass guitar about 3 years ago and play in a little group we call the Kitchen Table Band, though we don't get together very much, maybe once a month.
I recently lost about 50 pounds. That probably accounts for all the energy building things . . .
This is a good exercise, Beaumont. I have a hard time figuring out what's okay to tell people.
You could say I'm currently on medical retirement, but my income is too low to live on really. So I make do by growing as much of my own food as I can. I've always liked gardening and being outside. I feel like I'm wasting time by being indoors...I'd rather be outside where can hear the birds and hang out with my animal friends, the rabbits, birds, turtles, lizards, and so on.
I inherited some property, so I have the opportunity to enjoy living in what's become a little wildlife refuge.
RichieD, my favorites are the frogs & toads, though their songs aren't as lovely as the birds.
