A Child Abuse Survivors Group Community Group
We survived child abuse, but the pain still remains and so do the other effects which can last a lifetime. We are often unable to find adequate help, and we are seeking answers that can help us understand what happened so that we can go on to lead normal lives. (Please note that this is a group for child abuse survivors only. If you are a professional in the mental health...
i actually know someone who does a lot of this with his own now-grown children, even now, but they won't have anything to do with him. he tries to fix it by sending money or repairing their house or car....its a pity. people with mental problems of any sort should only have supervised visitation at a courthouse and filmed of them with their kids or no contact at all. NO ONE should have to go through any of this.
human traffickers and cult people will hire others the same age range of the child to do the above, in order to isolate them and attack. completely psycho.
there are also those who beat their kids while they are asleep. and who poison children - poison people in general. its amazing how common all of this is. child abuse of any sort should be punishable by death of the perpetrator.
Emotional abuse is the worst form of torture IMO. Lasting scars no one else can see.
But all the rest for sure...and lots of it...I think the last one on the list affected me more than anything else. I was very attached to our dogs we had...they returned my affection in contrast to the way everyone else treated me. So when my father would beat them so badly they could barely walk for days...that was something that left an indelible mark on me. I learned from that never to trust people who pretend to care about me without real proof that they do.
It was such a cowardly thing to do. Maybe he knew I loved the dogs and he was resentful...I don't know...or maybe he was just a coward and a really degenerate human being.
