A Child Abuse Survivors Group Community Group

(Please note that this is a group for child abuse survivors only. If you are a professional in the mental health...
I hope to hear more of your story, when and if you are ready to share it!
I didn't witness domestic violence, but in my childhood home, we were all victims of my mothers verbal and emotional abuse. SO I spent my whole childhood and a big chunk of my adult life watching her abuse my dad and sister. It left me with lasting issues that affect every part of my life as well, although I am sure in different ways then what you witnessed!
I look forward to getting to know you better!
I want desperately to run away from arguing and quarreling when I hear it...even after all these years of living. I can't deal with any kind of angry confrontation. Even strongly positive emotions in others makes me want to get away.
I saw my father hitting my mother when he was a drunk, and then he stopped hitting her when he stopped drinking, but then started hitting us his children and using God and the bible as an excuse for his violence.
