A Child Abuse Survivors Group Community Group
We survived child abuse, but the pain still remains and so do the other effects which can last a lifetime. We are often unable to find adequate help, and we are seeking answers that can help us understand what happened so that we can go on to lead normal lives. (Please note that this is a group for child abuse survivors only. If you are a professional in the mental health...
Or your mom with holds daily neccesities as punishment. Thats neglectful abuse too, IMO, unless it falls in another category!
Ah, and another one my mom, did, charming, everytime I had a major issue I absolutely could not solve on my own at that time (hey, my boss is sexually abusing me, and threatening loss of my job if I tell anyone) she'd tell me that was my life, my problem, sort it out myself (basically, to put it nicely). Thanks mom!
Good things I learned from neglect? Stash food and money, you never know when you might need it. Fend for yourself, no one else will. Stand up for yourself, no one else will. Solve your own problems, no one else will.
The negative? I expect no help and have a hard time accepting help from anyone else, and I do not trust help when it is given. I blame myself for everything, because I feel I and I alone must be responsible for all in the world. Even that which is not my responsibility or I have no control over.
