I try my best to care for myself most of the time. I am trying really hard at the moment to take all my meds when i am suposed to, and I am also tring to get healthier by losingsome weight, but thats really hard when ou cant excercise lol
Anyway, apart from tht, I am taking care of my mind, by doing my best to help others, which makes me feel better, and I am studying which keeps my mind active.
Like Lastehopem and Penny721 have said, when you can't see to the fitness of your body, exercise your intellect by reading and writing.
Did you know that laughing daily can help a person lose as much as three pounds a year - no joking?! You can find joke books in libraries, funny movies on television, and gobs of humor on the internet. Just beware of watching too much television, because it can stunt the growth of your imagination. And, when you do find something amusing, there's a great cyberplace where you can share it with others who like to laugh, and they have stuff they want you to read and see, too. To get to that cyberplace from here, click on the green letters: http://dailystrength.org/groups/laughterclub :-)
Read the discussion topic "Create And Share "Text Art"" to find out how to wow your online friends when you send them e-hugs and messages. I think you'll like what you'll see there.
I use Biotene toothpaste and mouth wash because they kill the bacteria in your mouth and help you not have a dry mouth. They do cost a bit more than the other brands but the others don't kill bacteria.
I have a ski type machine. It doesn't have hard levels like my old Nordic Track I had to stop using. But is could for cardo and circulation and will tone. I try to do it several times a day because I can't do 1/2 hour in one time.
Eating healthy is important. I have to keep my sodium down so I always read the nutriant chart. You can learn a lot with that. I also take a few supplements my doctor suggests. I drink plenty of water. Only water because I just read and article that sport drinks do not absorb into your system like plain water. So 6 to 8 glasses at least a day then have a gator aid if you want some flavor.
I prefer fresh vegatbles when it fits the budget but I buy the no salt ones when I buy canned. The other is loaded with sodium. I found a salt subsitute called also salt that is pretty good. It also has potasium in it. Which I like because I get cramps. You can find it at Safeway and I believe King Soopers. You can also look it up on the web and they will send you free samples so you can see if you like it. they have reg., garlic, and butter flavored. You don't need much.
I like that antibacterea wash you can just put on your hands if you can't wash them. There are some places that comes in handy.
I read the Bible often to give me strength and to keep me positive especially on he bad days when you think you just can't keep dealing with this. You have to take care of the mind to. I also journal.
My Aunt is in her 90's and has been a complete vegetarian since she was in her 20's. She has never had a weight problem and stays in great health. In fact as I write this she is in Germany visiting her son!

I do not have children, but I have two ragdoll cats. They are given so much love until my husband (their daddy) gets homes from work. Then he takes over.
I've switched sweetners; I use pure Xylitol (xylitol.org) and Stevia (stevia.net).
