Wisconsin man charged with stalking after showing porno clips on cellphone to women

River Falls police pieced together these claims, found and questioned the suspect, and now Pierce County District Attorney Sean Froelich has filed four felony stalking counts and one misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge against a 26-year-old River Falls man.Ricardo A. Moreno will make a first appearance in Pierce County Circuit Court in Ellsworth at 10 a.m. Monday, April 18.In the DA's criminal complaint, Moreno, married with very young children, eventually admitted to being involved in as many as 10 incidents of approaching women in River Falls dating back from last July to last month.Moreno's wife was upset to learn that her husband was a stalking suspect. She told investigators that Moreno was a good husband, provider, family and church man, and not one to keep secrets from her.Each of the felony stalking charges against Moreno carries a maximum sentence of 3 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.The complaint says the encounters varied but had similarities.According to the charging document:In the earliest, last July, a 26-year-old woman at Glen Park said a Hispanic male suspect was walking in wide circles around her by the pavilion. She was on a swing, wearing headphones and took them off.The suspect asked how old the woman was and laughed nervously. The suspect went to his car and followed. She drove to Dick's Hometown Liquor store's parking lot to reach someplace public and safe.The woman didn't report the encounter to police until reading a newspaper front-page stalker story last month. She assumed the suspect described in the paper was the same as the one she met last summer.In another incident last September, a University of Wisconsin-River Falls female student was walking in the afternoon to her dorm.She met a Hispanic male suspect on foot who asked where the university preschool was. He said he had to pick up his kid.The woman pointed and told the suspect how to get to the preschool. Then he asked where to find an adult movie store. The woman said she didn't know, and that anyways, can't people just go online for that.The suspect kept walking with the woman and finally took out his cellphone to show her a porn video with loud volume.The woman turned her head, said she was not interested and asked, Why are you watching that stuff at four in the afternoon?As they approached McMillan Hall where there were people, she said the man walked off and apologized for creeping her.In February a woman said she was walking on Second Street when the suspect pulled over in a black Chrysler Sebring, lowered his window and asked for directions to a park.The woman told him, kept walking, he followed in the car, matching her speed as she quickened her pace. He asked how old she was and if there were any adult video stores around and if she watched adult videos.The woman said she feared being kidnapped so she took off running.Other scattered incidents with women occurred, among other places, near a Middle School and ShopKo.Near ShopKo, when the suspect asked about finding an adult video store, the woman replied that there was a video game store in town. Another woman told him, Stop being a creep.By Meyer Middle School, a 21-year-old woman was asked if she needed a ride. She didn't.The suspect in a red Pontiac then asked if she knew where a video store was. She didn't but asked what movie he wanted to see.He then stuck his phone out the passenger window and tried to show her porn. She walked away. He followed, trying to show her more porn and asking about a ride.One of the most recent incidents was 2 a.m. March 6. Two women out walking said a driver stopped and waited for them. He asked about directions to Junior's Bar but ended up showing them a porn movie. The women screamed and left.At one point, Moreno told a police investigator he was feeling bad because his wife didn't seem attracted to him, that she didn't have the same spark in her eyes for him. He thought he could attract young women he stopped by showing them porn.He said he would never touch another girl but wanted to see if he's still got it.At another point Moreno also said he was not in a right state of mind.He said the videos showed to the various women were just clips he had downloaded onto his phone. He then deleted the images while resetting his phone.
