Just diagnosed with CLL
I am 64 years old and was just diagnosed with CLL this month. I went for a routine physical and they found my WBC was elevated (16,000) and that it had been two years ago when I went for the same physical. I don't know much about it other then I wish I didn't have it. I have no symptons, and I have went to an oncologist a week later (WBCs up to 20,000) and now Im scheduled for a second opinion at the Mayo Clinic in May. I am a very active person, racing cars during the summer and playing with my 6 grandchildren. I don't know what to expect and naturally my family is very concerned. Any help would be appreciated. I am anxious to hear from any and all people with CLL and their fight against this thing.
