Here are the latest two stories and there are really many success stories on HIV Prevention Research:
I’m Shawnee Finney and would like to share my story. I've been HIV positive for 13 years and have been on this web site to meet my future husband. Well July 24 th was our first date at the ball park in arlington to watch a the Texas ranger play. Robert Frazier and I have hit it off and look forward to getting married in February 14. Keep having Hope and faith for your future with that special one...we did..;-)
After years of trying to come to terms with my diagnosis, I decided to join the site to meet people in the same situation as me. After a few not so stellar dates, I was ready to completely give up hope of finding someone I could really connect with. So, when wwalker sent me a wink, I did not respond immediately. Eventually after a few more e-mail exchanges, we set up a date and time to meet.
Little did I know that that one date would forever change my life. It was amazing. Great conversation, a romantic stroll, my fate sealed with a kiss. I could not believe my luck. I had met a handsome, intelligent, funny man who understood exactly what I was going through. It has been almost two months since that fateful day, and although we live in different cities, we have spent every weekend together since. I have never been happier. We will live in the same city soon enough...
Never give up hope of finding love. It is important to know what you do and don't want. That way when someone truly special walks into your life, you will be able to recognize him/her. Good Luck!
