General guidelines

Write a post with insanely useful content. Consistently ask: 'How can readers gain from this?'

Use examples and anecdotes to clarify your points.

Offer fresh content which has not been published before.

Send us a pitch only if you are a blogger with your personal website.

Ensure that doesn't violate any copyright laws.

No freelancers or staff writers, please.

You might not get a reply from us if your post does not follow the guidelines.

How to approach us

Please send an email to the Associate Editor: vinita[at]writetodone[dot]com. Begin the Matter line with GUEST POST (in ALL CAPS).

Tell us briefly who you're.

Say the title of your place that is planned.

Outline the matter with bullet points.

Include 2 or 1 links to other WTD articles that you will use to supplement your points.

Tell us how WTD readers would take advantage of your post.

Add some links for your posts that are best.

The process

Please send a word document to us, once we've accepted your post suggestion. Additionally attach that are part of the post. Please don't be worried if we advocate some changes -we need your place to be successful. The post might be edited for greater clarity, grammar, punctuation etc.

Your post must:

Have an introduction that attracts interest and makes the reader want to read.

So it's easy to read use headings, subheadings, boldface font for essential sentences and bulleted lists.

Have a decision.

Have a call to action for readers after the ending.

Be 800 - .

Be written in of writing we prefer.

Have links to at least 2 posts already printed on Write.

Have an author bio at the finish (about 40 words). It is possible to link to your website along with a product of yours that's offered to WTD readers. Please send us the links and they will be added by us. A sample author bio is: Eugene Writegood is a writing teacher and websites at, a site about daring and fearless writing. Have a killer name. You can download an excellent resource for writing headlines, called "Why Headlines Fail" at Psychotactics.

Offer links to a few suggested pictures in your pitch e-mail. A great source of images is: Bigstock.


Carefully edit and proofread your post.

If your post contains pictures, send them to us as attachments, indicating where they ought to be located.

Be prepared to respond to comments in a timely manner within the next few days.


Alter the font color or the font, or use, or tags.

Contain affiliate links. to the post.
