Finished, but no help.

I told her, she didn't belive me. If I feel worse I might set a goal "Ask to see a doctor"

I feel better, but she didn\'t belive me at all. She just said \"Oh, every 13 year old girl goes through that stage.\" Is it a \'stage\' when you cry yourself to sleep most nights, think about suicide, and injure yourself purposly, leaving a mark for about a week.

Hi, my name is Jessica, too. I was a very depressed and self injuring teenager, too. I never talked to my mom about it until I was older and had a family of my own. I felt like she should have known. I cried all the time and did very poorly in school, academically and socially, ever since elementary school. And while my self-esteem began to rise in college I still cried all the time and injured myself.

I guess i\'m just trying to say that sometimes moms are blind to it. But it is important to be persistent to make sure she understands the severity of it. Even if you don\'t tell her everything, share it with a professional. It\'s not always just a phase.
