Finance Minister Never Directed Keeping Ecc, Ccop Proceedings Secret: Spokesman

In a statement issued here on Monday, the spokesman recalled that the Finance Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar was the first to make history in Pakistan by publishing IMF documents and making them public in 1999. Consistent with his policy of transparency, all documents pertaining to IMF were placed on website of Ministry of Finance promptly, the day the programme was approved by IMF on September 4, 2013 as well. The spokesman further said that the government believes in transparency and the Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar cannot even think of giving such directions as he considers transparency, an article of faith. The spokesman advised the media that it should observe journalistic norms and contact the Ministry of Finance, Privatization, Revenues and Statistic Division for its version before filing a story. DRDO takes finance ministry for a ride again





A furious finance ministry then held that the order was irregular and sought an explanation from DRDO. The defence organization was also directed to withdraw the higher payscale already granted to its technical officers.
