This site is lovely and has clean modern facilities. Pitches are well kept and wardens x4 helped sort out a mix up with my booking at the call centre, I realise some luck was involved but even if I'd have been turned away I would be happy with the way they responded. Only draw back is TV signal is poor but I went away to take in the beautiful scenery.Towing: Easy

As many others have commented on this is indeed a small site with maybe a few too many pitches which makes it feel a little cramped but its all about location location location. So close to Bowness on Windermere with its multitude of shops restaurants and pubs. Trips on the Lake or just a walk along the lake side enjoying the hustle and bustle of the tourist buses dropping visitors for the boat rides. Can reccomend The Royal Oak Pub for great free wifi and brilliant pub grub or if you fancy a slightly more upmarket meal the Robertos restaurant was superb. Vinegar Jones fish and chips in the town great to take back to your van. Chain ferry a bargain to take you over the lake to more great walks. Site facilities some have commented on but I am sure they are on the clubs radar. We will be back for sure.
Thanks for a great stay.Location: Town,Country,Lake

This is quite a small compact site conveniently close to Bowness village.

This is quite a small compact site conveniently close to Bowness village. For older people there is a "road train" from near the entrance into Bowness and if you want some time off driving the 599 bus also stops near the entrance. The facilities were well kept and the hanging flower baskets at the toilet block were amazing. We enjoyed our stay and this site is own our list for a return visit.Towing: Moderate
