The stage is bare but for the women in the four chairs (we're situated so that, POV-wise, we ask the questions as well as monitor the proceedings behind mirrored glass). This focuses us on the non-stop patter of perfect, in-synch dialogue. The cumulative effect is as if the women, different as could be imagined, formed part of a hive mind, each feeding off the other's comments and appearances, each guessing at their lives, each coming to individual, profound insights by virtue of having been brought together in that small room. The characters are well drawn. Carol (Maikiko James) is the stay at home mom who is sequestered by motherhood. Roxanne (Tiffany Rebecca Royale) is the high-powered lawyer who is too busy to have a relationship, much less raise a family. (Los Angeles Times Mapping L.A.) By Andrew Blankstein June 19, 2013, 11:00 a.m. Two people taking pictures of transients holding offensive signs while begging for money in Hollywood were attacked Tuesday night, leading to the fatal stabbing of a woman, Los Angeles police said. The attack occurred shortly after 8 p.m. at Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue, in the heart of Hollywood, where attractions like Graumans Chinese Theatre draw in tens of thousands of tourists annually. The pair, who are believed to be from the Los Angeles area, began taking pictures with their cellphones after spotting the transients holding signs with obscenities on them while asking for money, according to sources familiar with the case who asked not to be identified because the investigation is ongoing. The man and woman were simultaneously attacked by the three men, who were not immediately identified.
