The Hope of Tomorrows    My home is my havenFree of strangers and the likeOnly spirits of a saner mindLurks beneath the surface.  I roam from room to roomLooking for an answer. The walls ache to helpBut to no avail.  The familiarly is calmingEverything in its placeBarrier from the outside worldAn indistinguishable fence surrounds the houseKeeping out the unknown.   Maybe tomorrow I will venture outThen I will see something newMaybe tomorrow I will see the worldMaybe……..  I open the door of my dwellingI smell the coming of rainIt’s better to stay inside todayTomorrow will be better. Deep, deep inside of myselfI know the promise of tomorrow is slim,Regressing more each dayWill be my only outline  Will tomorrow ever come? Why does the mind prevail Over intellect and perseverance?Answers are not forthcoming.  Slowly, I roam the rooms againMemorizing each of its flawsTomorrow draws nearer.Yes, tomorrow, I will open the door againThere is always hope……
