Oh boy is my body tired and achy! Don't really care tho. Yay me!  Thanks to everyone for their well wishes!
Time to deal with the big C! Mom's surgery is Monday morning. Then Tuesday I will drive her home (about an hour away) and stay with her for a few days. She thinks she's gonna be up and around in a couple of days! Ha! She's tough but not that tough! Luckily we get along really well and I am happy to help her after everything she's given me. I'll take my crafty bead stuff and make some jewelry to sell in my etsy store. I haven't been able to do much since we got the kittens. They are too playful and curious! Gawd I love them but they can also be a PITA! Not that I'd trade them for anything but it will be nice to do something creative while I have the chance.
And then it's Thanksgiving, then my birthday then I'm done with school forever and then it's Christmas! Phew! Then it's next year! Someone slow it down please!

You got it........gonna slow it all down........put all your time devices in the box lady, no sudden moves..........that\'s right, watches, alarm clocks and so on.......nice and slow.............and take it easy all week-end. Thinking of you and Mom and surgery and recuping. Please try to keep her recovery at a slow steady pace........better for her to be frustrated lying down for a while so everything can heal properly. I wanted to rush too and my kids all but sat on me..............glad you\'re going to spend some time making jewelry...........love that! yeah, kitties would definitely want to stick their curious little noses in beads and long strings of anything..............I am so glad that you will be with her...........having you with her will help her relax and feel more confidence with everything. still celebrating doctorhood............! take care.......seriously you\'ve got a lot going on, we gotta devise a lot of naps/rest breaks for you to get through everything coming up..............but this week-end if you can......please do less of everything except when it comes to taking care of you, taking care of you is Priority Status......the end, hugs, ruth

Hi Jen, I just spent an hour lying in bed in the dark reading your journal entries on my phone. I am so excited for you that you finished your dissertation and got the PhD! Congratulations! It gives me hope. I had to leave my job six months ago, but keep dreaming about going back to school for a master\'s or PhD in some psychology field... What was the title of your dissertation?

Also, Serce and Lynx, it is so lovely to read all your comments and messages of support. I\'m happy you\'re out there, making the world a better, more compassionate place.

Hey you! Congrats again! This must be such a wonderful time in your life! What an accomplishment.

I\'ll be praying that mom will be ok. I know it\'s so hard when we have these difficult times with our health right around the holidays. Things are supposed to be all fun and roses, but life just isn\'t like that. I know you\'ll see to it that mom rests and recoops in a proper manner!!

Again, Dr. Jen (ahem!!), applaud yourself for a job well done!!!!
