I know we have so much going on in the healing and grieving parts of our lives; and the holidays are the litmus test of how well
we could say we are really doing. Id like to suggest that we write a few things for which we are grateful. When I am running on empty and feeling overwhelmed, but am blind-sided by an act of kindness or something that can lighten my heart momentarily; I personally have to stop, and soak up that goodness. When I am running on empty those moments can make
all the difference.
I can go first:
Thank you for this website. Thank you for the friends and support I have found here.
I am grateful for Sunrises especially those that have the sun rays with the Beams you can almost touch that stream through a cloud down to earth. I am grateful for seriously delicious PIZZA cheesey pizza and four-year- olds that run up and give leg hugs, full of squeeze, so you know they mean it!

Thank you, most of all, for the amazing, glorious years I had with my beloved husband - also for my wonderful sons, grandchildren and lovely mother....also, all those 'pictures' , you know, when folk say 'what a glorious picture' - a photo, a painting - but we have all these perfect moments, every day, when everything we see is a picture, whatever the weather, whatever the circumstances...I thank God and the universe for this...and of course for everyone in Daily Strength for their compassion and support....*smiling* ...

I am thankful you all here on DS you that have given me hugs and encouragement. I am thankful for everyday I had with my Husband be it good or bad times. I'm thankful All the kindness family and friends have given me .I'm thankful for every blessing so many to name them all would take up way too much space. Most of all I'm thankful for my strong faith in God for being with me and near me and knowing my needs and what my weaknesses are but making me strong when I feel I'm down and out. May God bless each and everyone of you here and in the world.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
