Not sure if this is the correct group for this question, but I will give it a try. I have been "dating" a widower for about 2 years. He lost his wife almost 6 years ago to breast cancer. (They had a very happy marriage.) He has 2 boys: 13 and 16. I am the first/only woman he has dated since he lost his wife. He asked his boys 2 years ago what they thought about "dad" dating again and they broke down and cried. So, for the past 2 years, the boys have no idea their father has been seeing me. He is only able to go out and do something with me when both of his boys are gone with their friends. Needless to say, that is few and far between. We do work at the same place, so we see each other almost everyday M-F. My question is...is it normal for wiodw/widowers to go this long without telling their kids (former inlaws, friends, etc) that they have begun dating again? I don't think I can continue to be "in the closet" with this relationship anymore. He is very close to his deceased wife's family. He has never been to my family gatherings, etc.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
