Last night I went to see the movie Revanent. In the movie the main character's native wife who had been murdered comes to him in a vision/dream when he is close to death himself and says "When people look up a tree at the branches when a powerful wind comes it looks like the tree will fall but look at the root because that is where the stability is". For me the wind could easily be represented by grief and the root is the foundation we have built in our life with our memories, life experiences, coping skills, parents and most importantly our faith . Our root will ultimately provide us the stability it doesnt matter how many grief waves come along the way. Any thoughts?
