Last night while out a friend shared a beautiful story with me. She has been widowed several years and her little granddaughter who also recently started talking never met her husband. While she was babysitting the little one went into her bedroom and pointed to a picture and said 'hi grandpapa". A person she never met or heard called that. Immediately my friend realized grandpapa was more in this little girls life than she realized. The irony of this story is my friends biggest regret was when her granddaughter was born that she would never meet her grandpa. I guess she has through the eyes of a child. I truly beleive they are closer than we often think. Your thoughts ?
