I recently made a list of things that trigger me to binge. I don't always know why I binge, but sometimes it is really obvious. On a previous post I mentioned social anxiety, and that is a problem for me. Another trigger is going too long without food and getting too hungry. A third one is dealing with a difficult family member. I listed about 6 different triggers, and I am hoping that by identifying them, I can prepare for them in advance or avoid them altogether. I am sure I will still have binges, but perhaps I can keep them to a minimum.
