Years ago while attending my OA meetings I met a woman who was not doing too well and finally left the group. About a year later I met her while shopping. She was laughing, appeared to be very happy and content.
She stated, "I was in the wrong program, I needed a different approach."
She joined another Twelve Step program and continued to flourish.
Many of my OA friends attend other Twelve Step programs as I do. We have many people who have stopped drinking, using drugs and move on to overeating. We welcome them with open arms.
Not that I'm suggested we have a mass exodus from this site.
Just thinking about my own road to recovery.

I can count 4 times this year when I Went out of my way to make sure a "friend" felt good on their birthday, especially if they got left hanging. Its early in the...

I have been attending AA since 1999, sober since 2000, I attended NicA in 2001 to quit the wicked weed, and now I attend AA, NA, OA and SA!! I do one meeting of each a week and it's OA and SA that are providing me with my greatest challenges at the moment in terms of recovery and I am grateful that they are there :o)
