I am working my way towards being vegan, but in the meantime i am trying to be really conscientious about the eggs and dairy stuff i buy. i'm trying to figure out if there is a universal standard for the way animals are raised that must be met for a product to be labeled ''free range''. most people recognize the ''certified organic'' label on all types of things, and kosher too for that matter; but there doesn't seem to be a seal of approval for free-range farming. is there something i can i look for on the label that's actually trustworthy?

I am scheduled to have a hysterectomy feb 20. I have an enlarged fibroid as if I'm 20 weeks pregnant. I ended up in the hospital because I bleed so bad I had to have a blood transfusion. My blood was 4.5 and normal is 15. As of now I am at 9.6 and need to be at least 10 to have the surgery. This has got me down I'll need to take time off and I support myself.
