I am transitioning to a fruitarian, which eats only fruits, nuts and seeds, and then I will be eating just tropical fruits. I also juice whenever possible because the health benefits are out of this world. There is one thing, have you ever thought why juicing may not be working for you, well, you have to be cleansing and detoxifying the body as well. What I mean by this is getting those toxins that have built up for years and the food that has been known as conventional (with herbicides and pesticides, etc.) out of the body, if you don't there are so many diseases that have developed in the deep tissue. The book, "What They Don't Want You To Know About", by Kevin Trudeau, has really changed my life and I will tell you, I don't go to the medical doctor or take prescription medications. This book that I have just described as been the outline for my lifestyle that I now lead. I started out eating organic food, then no meat, chicken or fish. I haven't eaten any pork products as those are not good for you. I used to think that this was all a gimmick until I started researching on my own and finding out that thousands of years ago this is how people ate. Raw food ( vegetables and fruits), mainly fruits though. I do not have to take vitamins or supplements as I get those through the raw foods I eat and then, juicing, you get so many nutrients from just that it fills me up and I don't have to eat anything if I do not want to until I am feeling hungry. I have done a 10 day juice fast and wow, I tell you, that was the most amazing I have felt in a long time. Not only did I have more energy but the only side effect was losing weight. Since I have been doing all of this, I have lost about 32 pounds. Our digestive systems are not designed for meat and what not, it is hard to break down in the body and usually if you don't start getting the rest of the toxins out of the body food starts to ferment and causing all kinds of health problems. Believe me, I have had my fair share of health problems, IBS, PTSD, depression, migraine headaches, gallstones (which I had my gallbladder removed), and so many more. I have been so energetic during my life and now I have even more and I don't have to sleep as much and I get so much more done during the day too. I feel like a whole new, different person. I feel so great and happy for once in my life. It didn't just happen over night, as there is so much information and only so much a person can do at a time but in less than a year, I have come along way from being so unhealthy to a more healthy me. I am still not at the optimal health that I would like to be at. One thing I would like to add too, is that have you ever thought about this. We all have colons, do you ever wonder why we are sick or have diseases? It all starts with the colon. Take it from me, I am living proof and I wouldn't go back to eating fast food, conventionally grown food, or processed food because the digestive system is so delicate that one has to treat it has it should be as we were put on this earth. We are living creatures of God and Mother Nature, our organs are what makes us live. Let me say another, I have had to discipline myself but all in all, this has changed my whole entire life and I will not go back to the way I used to be. Remember, taking care of the body is #1 and the famous saying, "You are what you eat". I really believe that. There is so much information, that I could go on and on but I will stop for now.

Hi all! This is for those of you that have or have had the same neurologist for 4 years or more. I have been with mine now since 2009. He is one of the best movement disorder secialists in the midwest. I know he is extremely busy on the lecture circuit now and in fact not taking new patients there is a huge waiting list for him. BUT.... I feel like my visits are not what they use to be. He...
I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...
