To give you another example, they were not doing well recruiting Amazon Basin Indians to the Catholic Church so got a waiver from the Pope reclassifying capybaras as fish. Why? Yeah, they're furry and they bleed when you cut 'em, but they swim so they decided to just change the rule. It brought the Indians right into the churches.
PESCATARIAN is a vegetarian that eats fish/seafood, but no other meat products, POLLO-vegetarians eat chicken but no red meat or fish. LACTO-vegetarian eats dairy but no egg or meat. OVO-vegtarian eat eggs but no dairy or meat. LACTO/OVO...well, thats pretty obvious. And Vegans don't eat and meat or animal product. For the purist vegan it's a life style choice, and most often won't wear leather or use or eat anything at all that is derivative from animals including wool etc....
