Hi! I just officially became vegetarian today, I'd been planning on doing it for a week, but never got around to it. I just saw a movie called Food Inc., which exposes a lot of things in the food industry, all of them bad. This movie has changed my view on food as i know it, and how food actually gets from the farm on your plate. The reason i became a vegetarian today is because of the brutalization and slaughter of animals before, during and after they're killed. I always knew that they were killed, but never like I did today. I was crying pretty much half the movie because of the slaughters of all those animals. The problem with me is that since I'm allergic to peanuts and tree nuts (including almonds), I'm not really sure what I can eat for protein. Does anyone have any suggestions? Anything would be helpful.
