My mom has a very rare form of uterine cancer,(so rare I guess, that the doctor here had never seen that type of cancer before) diagnosed by her doctor here in Roseburg. We have an appointment to see a specialist this coming Friday, at which time they will schedule a hysterectomy. At what point do we find out if it's spread outside her uterus? When they do the hysterectomy, will they also be able to clean out the cancer if it's spread? I just don't know what to expect at this point, and I'm scared. ANY help would be appreciated!

Hello! How are you & mom? What did her dr say?

I know how you feel. My mother has the same thing, has fallen deep into a depression and lost weight and dehydrated from that. I have to put her into hospice care tomorrow and if she doesn't build herself up for treatments, the doctor gives her apx 3 months. I'm scared to the point of becoming ill myself. All I can say is hang in there; her doctor said she can still turn around and I hope the same holds true for your mom as well. Have faith and good luck.

i had uterine cancer.they found it because i had stopped having periods and they wanted to put me on that drug that starts with a p.but i insisted they do a dnc and they found out i had cancer and that i had it for a while because it got out of my uterus.after the hystectomy they did 6 weeks of radiation therapy to catch all the cancer that escaped my uterus.during surgery they also took part of my cervix.the surgery wasnt bad they made 4 small incisions.its the radiation treatments and the diarea and the jetting into menopause and the hot flashes.so i hope that this helps my doctor didnt tell me about the loose stools i could have for up to a year afterwards so wasnt trying to scare you but trying to be honest.best of luck and please let me know how you all are doing

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
