5 years ago I quit my job to focus on my family. I have 2 kids and one is autistic so my husband and I couldn't afford child care. They are both in school now and I have been trying to get back in the work force for a year. I have been told that I already have the "most rewarding job in the world; being a mom", that I am not hire-able due to my lack of recent work history, and that people like me are unpredictable. I feel like I'm being punished for having kids.
