When to start cereal, pureed foods?

deleted_user
Hey everyone,
I would love to hear any insight on starting cereal for the twins. My babes are 3 months old now and my son is already beginning to observe start chewing whatever he thinks he has in his mouth. I have had many different people start at different ages (3 months, 4, all the way to six) I know that nowawdays, 6 is the standard.
Experienced moms what have you done?
Thanks in advance,
Magnomom

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
A few factors are involved when determining when to start solid foods. The general rule of thumb is anywhere from 4-6 months of age (with breastfed babies leaning a bit closer to 6 months of age). But if your babes are premature, that may also push to the 6 month range. However, for full term (or near full term) babies who have good head support and show an interest in the solid food (as your son is doing), 4 months is when I recommend.
All the best,
