preemie twins and going home...

Hey all,
I am trying not to stress about it but its really hard. I had an emergency c-section on the 24th due to my blood pressure spiking. I had 2 beautiful baby girls 3lbs9oz and 4lbs1oz. They have been in high risk since then and have orders to move to special care (stepping from code red to code yellow basically). We are basically waiting for them to hold their temps. My question is...If you had preemies, what was your experience about time spent in the hospital, when did they go home. And for those of you that returned to work, how did your disability work? I am having trouble with them, because if the girls don't come home soon I won't have very much time with them at home before I have to go back. I only have 8 weeks from date of delivery and it doesn't matter when they come home, I'm screwed. Thank you for all of your thoughts on the matter!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Im sorry that I dont have experience with this, but I would venture to say that each individual child has their own needs and the hospital will release them when they are ready...Good luck my friend...I will be thinking of you and your wife...and CONGRATULATIONS ladies, welcome to the twinmommy club...

Not sure how it works at your job but I did not give work my extended notice until the dau before i was supposed to be back so that i had my six - eight weeks then whatever else it was. I ended up not going back to work because it works for my family to stay home and car for the twins. Well I hope this helps ... If you have any questions let me know and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE remember to stay calm, ask questions in the NICU and this will all be a BAD DREAM. MY thoughts and prayers are with the four of you!!!!

My employer honors FMLA, however, I must use all of my available sick and vacation time while on FMLA so I basically return to work with 0 hours of time off.
Best of luck with your twins!
