I have had 6 rounds of clomid thus far. The first 4 worked fine - I ovulated at least. But the last two have not worked. I don't get it - I take the home ov tests each time and I got 2 lines! What gives? Is something wrong with the tests I'm taking? I have the SPT on day 21 every month and it is showing no ovulation. So am I wasting my money on these tests? And why does the dr want me to take another PG test before putting me on another round? Didn't he just say that I didn't ovulate? Now it is just more waiting...waiting to get a period-or not-then taking provera to get a period so I can take yet another round of clomid (this time at a higher dosage). I've had all the tests (and so has my husband) and no obvious signs that would indicate a problem. I almost wish that there was so that the "unexplainable" part of this would be easier to take! I know I'm on the older side of starting this whole maternity journey (39), but I'm not a fossil! It has been 1+ years of trying - how do you decide when to stop? If I could simply "not worry" about it, I would - but when you have to take a pill just to ovulate, it makes it a little difficult to let "nature take its course!" I don't live in an area that has lots of options/doctors, etc. which means trying other methods (which I'm guessing we can't afford) is difficult. I'm just so tired of the whole process. Who knew that it was such a science experiment??!?!
