Hello, I have been suffering with TN for years, but had been told the pain was caused by a bone abnormality in my nose. I went to a neurologist yesterday, and was diagnosed with TN. What I'm super scared about is that my doctor ordered an MRI of my brain for tomorrow morning, to rule out other disorders. I know that MS is sometimes associated with TN, and was wondering if most people also had this test done. I'm so scared and overwhelmed right now, not to mention in pain. Also, the carbatrol doesn't seem to be doing a darn thing. (but only on since yesterday) Do you have to be on it for a long time to work?
