my 3yr old boy? trich in his genes? because of me

I have suffered trich a long time... see my profile.
Lately i have been awful worried about my 3 yr old boy. He doesnt pull hair... however .. Ever since he was 6mths old i breast fed him on one of my silky pillow cases. 3 yrs gone by and you can imagine this pillowcase now! He would not sleep on any other! I even tried to make special pillow cases with iron on transfers of starwars and scooby doo.. his ultimate favourite things, but his pillow case now which is torn isnt slept on like a pillowcase but hugged in bed, carried around the house, sits at the table for meals, is with him whilst watching tv, And now that it is frayed and stringy he plays with it, feels it with his mouth, and picks the thread. When i ask him why is he doing that he says he needs to.
We cant have sleep overs at anyones house unless it comes, he cant go to bed unless its there. I have tried on many occasions to take it away in all different ways, and its like i am emotionally damaging him, the way he reacts is like heartbreak. He has even named it 'lovelove' . And when he cant find it in the house, he worrys calling it.. lovelove, lovelove? where are you?
When i see him sometimes sitting there for ages picking pulling feeling it putting it on his lips, i really worry its the begginging of trich...
WHAT DO YOU THINK??? HELP ME? PLEASE .. .

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
A security thing. Had a cousin that did this with a blanket. Aunt finally had to sit down with my cousin and together they cut out a "good" part that was ONLY to be used in bed to go to sleep with. It was kept in her pillow case.
Because the rest was dirty, no matter how many washing and bleach that was used. Aunt was getting embarrassed about it being taken to stores and such with them. And all the attachments as you describe. So instead of taking it completely away she limited it to bedtime.
By doing it together, my cousin didn't feel like something was taken away. So she went along with it. Finally she just gave it up.
Oh Aunt also was able to salvage another "good" part and she had someone in the family that quilted. Aunt had 3 children, she gave family friend keepsake items of cloth from each of the 3 later on and had quilts make for each, for the daughter that piece of blanket was in it.
To each his own.He will out grow it.
