I started pulling suddenly about 8yrs ago when I was in my 30s already. I never messed with my hair or had a compulsion or anything. (I was terrible at picking my acne as a teen though. Would pop every pimple/zit that I could). When my acne went away in my late teens, I never had another problem. Until one day in my 30s, I got a crazy burning itch in my hair. It was throbbing and burning and felt like a big bump under my scalp. I picked and dug at it & the only thing that brought relief was pulling enough hairs from the area - like an infected follicle or something. It has continued for 8yrs! I only pull if I have an itchy, painful bump under my scalp - much like a giant pimple/zit. (Sometimes they will even pop like a pimple/zit.) I can't leave them alone! But I couldn't really care less about the hair. It's just a way to get to the bump under my skin. Once the bump is gone & healed, I don't pull in that area anymore. I just wait for the next bump & sometimes go "looking for them" with my fingers. Has anyone heard of this or is it pretty standard for trich? Thanks~

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
