It has been awhile since I have checked in...but just wanted tell everyone not to give up. After several months of meeting with our ped and having tics dismissed as transient or just simply nervous behavior we went to another office. At the first appt. the ped there knew something wasn't right and sent us to neuro. After MRI, EEG, and blood work to ruke out other possibilities we have a dx of Tourettes. Our son if 5 1/2 and has had tics since 4. We are treating with meds during the school year and taking him off for the summers. Seems to help some. Clonidine made him too sleepy so we have switched to Tenex. Still makes him drowsy but not as bad. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for giving us the encouragement to keep at it until someone listened. There were a few months there we thought We were nuts! Thanks

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
