I have a 5 year old son who has been having tics for 7 months. It began with an eye darting and then he started scrunching up his nose and mouth. Now we have noticed vocal tics as well. He will grunt and sometimes jerk his head as he does this. At times he can't talk because the grunting is continuous (5 or 6 in a row). Our dr is waiting for the one year mark but says it is probably transient tic disorder as that is quite common in young children. However he hasn't seen him since the new vocal tics started. I wanted to know if I should schedule an appt with a neuro or just wait for the 1 year mark and decide. I am worried that they will get much more complex and interfere with his school. PLease help.....am I jsut reading too much into this??

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
