My daughter is 12 and has had a tic for quite a few years. At first I dismissed it as nothing but as she grew older the tic got worse. It seems to really be the strongest when she gets excited. She pulls her hands to her face (covering her face) and does a muffled low sort of screech. She does this even if she is in a crowd full of people and other kids have asked "what is wrong with you?" We've taken her to a very good neurologist who put her on meds that made her completely BLAH, she didn't even want to move off the sofa! Then when it wasn't helping the tic they wanted to up the dose...We weren't having any more of that so here we are with the tic getting worse and us having no idea what to try next....now it seems she's developed a sort of sniffing tic...that she does almost constantly. anyone have any suggestions..please help...I really feel she is all alone with this problem!

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
