Yes, they change over time. They get new ones and leave old ones. Some are enduring. Most morph, wax and wane.

Yes, tics will wax and wane (come and go--get better or worse--change or stay the same) from day to day.

My son is 7 and started ticcing in March (but I suspect he has been ticcing for longer than that but we did't think much of his "habits" till they were coming in clusters. At his worst, we would see about 8 differnt tics in one day.
