I have had TMJD for a LONG time now and have just dealt with it. The last couple years it has slowly became worse and worse. I've been going to a TMJ specialist dentist for many years now and he has had me go through splints and braces and none of them have helped me at all. Now he has suggested that surgery is the next step. Of course I went to see another TMJ specialist for a second opinion. One of the dentist recommended Dr. Larry Wolford in Texas who does the Mitek surgery where they place an anchor to hold the cartilage to the bone. The other dentist recommended Dr. Mark Piper in Florida who does the fat graft surgery. I have heard from people who have had success from both surgeries. I would VERY MUCH appreciate if anyone knows about these doctors or surgeries and have any information for me.
THANKS SO MUCH!
