Hi all,
Had my usual 6 month checkup today with my oral specialist, talked about all the same things to do with tmj as we've talked about for the last 6/7 years, when out the blue he mentions botox!! anyone else had this done? or heard of it being done for cases of tmj?, i'm presuming they inject the muscle/tissue near the jaw joints, i think i'll see how it gos for the next 3 months as they have also upped the dosage of my tablets, i'm not worried by having it done, just seemed a strange thing to me.
many thanks

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
yes its free on nhs in u.k, not sure about sides tho, they didnt mention that to me i presumed it was for both sides as i get pain in both, still a bit shocked by it to be honest (something i never thought of) but i will let you know how it goes if i have it done! thanks for the info. :-)

hi, flymo
its worth talking to your doctor/specialist about it, i think its a fairly newish treatment for this sort of problem, but if it does any kind of good i'm all for it, better than the pain. hope you find some help soon. thanks
