ive been dealin with it for ten yrs my jaw actually dislocates when i open my mouth to wide like to brush my teeth or bite into a sandwhich its so annoyin i been usin a nightguard n had all 4 wisdom teeth removed it worked but i had an outburst n was yellin and its been botherin me since then it gets stuck n i get tense its hard to get it back to normal i dont have resources for the doctor jus wanted to kno if anyone goes thr this with there tmj if its normal thanx

Today is my 25th birthday, to my somewhat lack of surprise I can see already no one really seems to care. My jaw also dilocates when yawning, when biting something large, sometimes just when talking,and sometimes in my sleep.
Sorry about your situation. This can be very, very uncomfortable.

One time opened my mouth to wide and locked in place when i think of it i looked odd but i was in pain.
My jaw when i chew makes noises now and woset noises when it falls out of place.
I try NOT to sleep on my hands at night i will wake up to a dislocated jaw that way so try to keep them under the pillow and it works best that way.
Chewing wads of gum makes it fall out of place but a stick of gum is okay with me.
Bubble gum is out makes it fall out of place.
Once i was talking to someone out in the public and then i stopped not that i wanted to but the jaw was out of place. I just sort of walked away to my car and if i push on the opposit side it can help it fall back into place.
