The shot cuts the chance of getting the outbreak in half. But my doc. says if I do get it, it would be a much smaller event. He did say, however to come in and get the replicator within 72 hours even if I get a mild case. That also cuts down the length of the outbreak.
As far as helping the people who already have it, I have a friend who has the shingles pain every three weeks. He tried the shot, and sadly it only helped for a few months, then it came back.
On the other hand, yesterday, I went and worked at my granddaughter's pre-school and my T. got really bad. The first thing that came into my mind was, it is the vaccine! But, it seems better today. I quess it is mind over matter.
I will try and get thought out of my mind.
