Hi. New here.
I have had tinnitus for as long as I can remember. When I was a little kid, I just thought that was what silence sounded like. It is a high pitched continuous sound, somewhat like the electronic whine a computer makes. Since I don't know life without it, it doesn't bug me - even though I can almost always hear it very clearly.
To my knowledge, I was never exposed to any illness or loud noise that could have caused it. I've never figured out why I have it.
Anyone in the same boat? Any idea of why? When I try to look up stuff, it seems to focus on people who've developed it later in life. I actually don't want to try to get rid of it - because I'm afraid if I lost it and then it came back again, it would drive me nuts! (I can block it out now like a pro.)

I have had tinnitus all my life too but i didnt notice it at all when i was a kid. But it's more noticeable now than ever. No one really knows why they have tinnitus in the first place as it could be a nimber of reasons. I never found what the cause of my tinnitus but i do know that i lost more hearing in the left ear when i was about 3 after falling down the stairs.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
