Ticked off about Lyme Community Group
A place for Lymies to get together to talk about things other than Lyme.

FeelingRough
Ok, I read in Oprah magazine, since she's the ultimate authority on all happy, healthy habits, that in order to be happy / healthy I should write down three things that went right TODAY... and actually every day...it's supposed to help be more grateful...happy, etc.
So...here goes....hmmmmmm....
1. Work meeting went well. Hurrah!
2. Got to get out of office and chat w/ my boss. Actually enjoyed it.
3. A cup of coffee hit the spot and didn't make me (too) nervous/jittery. ..just a huge help.
Okay guys -- you're turn -- what went right today?

I was scrolling through some of the other posts and joined thinking perhaps I would get some solace with others. Then I just noticed how many ppl have posted and no one has replied to them.... so why would this be called a SUPPORT group if none of us are supporting each other through this???

A friend sent this to me..As far as I can see, grief will never truly end.It may become softer overtime, more gentleand some days will feel sharp. But grief will last as long as Love does - ForeverIt's simply the way the absence of your loved onemanifests in your heart. A deep longing accompaniedby the deepest Love some days. The heavy fog mayreturn and the next day, it may recede.Once again, it's...
Today I'll try harder.
1. My husband's endoscopies both went well and his problem is easily treated with prilosec
2. My children got themselves on the bus and to school on time b/c we had to leave the house early for the Dr.
3. Less pain today.
Good post Cyndi! Thank you....
I'm going to give it one more shot.
1. Closing in a problem at work...even if it can't be done just knowing that can be good as I've tried everything.
2. Bank account was NOT overdrawn -- I checked!
3. Husband gave me discover card. That's always right.
Okay... it's only 7am, but I have a few already:
1. A bad pain woke me up, which sounds bad but it's good b/c it also woke up my husband... who had a fever over 101 and needed attention. If I had stayed asleep we never would have known... he never would have disturbed me if he discovered it... would have just laid there shivering.
2. I decided not to project my suppositions onto others, which only hurts me, makes me feel unwanted, and will create strain in our relationships.
3. I went to get a cup of coffee and found a pot full of fresh, HOT WATER! LOL! I forgot to add the coffee! LOL! The good news is I didn't even curse myself out... I remade the pot and it tasted great (and gave me a chuckle).
1. Enrolled in an online course to make up all the hours of credits I need to maintain my Paramedic certification-I was stressing because I have missed so many classes due to being sick and had 70 hours to make up in one month!!!
2. Kara knocked over a gorgeous vase that my mother had given me, shattered it into so many pieces I could have paid the Stimulus Bill myself if the pieces were money, but I didn't lose it or go off on a Lyme rage. I managed to scoop her up and tell her it was ok, though I was pretty upset.
3. I have been slowly catching up on housework today...do a little, sit down, do some more, sit down.
Way to go Becca! Lucky Kara, too.
Sorry about the vase Becca! But good for you for not reacting...great approach to housework -- and school work to boot.
Ok. Please don't break this chain. Oprah is SO right.
1. I completed a MAJOR thing at work. So very proud...it was a long time coming. Will take any thing like this as an accomplishment.
2. I walked with a friend during lunch for exercise...didn't talk too much about symptoms -- she's also a lot like me -- hypochondria.
3. Almost forgot this as it's huge...layoffs will not occur until January 2010...No word on who etc, but we all have bought some time!!!
Keep going guys! This is good to do.
1. I got a note from a co-worker... they miss me. I know it sounds childish, and so what if it is. It made me feel so good to be missed, and to be really ASKED to share what is happening. It helped me.
2. My Dr agreed to send a note to my boss recommending that I need time w/out nerve pain (at least at that severity) before I should drive very much.
3. We were 2 hours late to my LLMD appt b/c of traffic... but they took us right in and probably messed up their own lunch hour b/c of it... but I was so grateful. Upped all my meds; kicking some spriochete butt again... getting ready!
1. I managed to run errands without forgetting where I was going or why!
2. Had sushi for supper, and ate on mt bed! yummmmmmmm
3. Spoiled myself and washed down with a small glass of Merlot
I figure only 1 no-no a day is a good thing LOL.
1. Lots of people (staff and residents) seemed genuinely happy to see me back at work. Got lots of hugs and people said some really nice things.
2. I discovered I didn't forget how to do my job.
3. It was really nice to be able to concentrate on taking care of others for a change, and seeing that I still have something to give.
I guess that wasn't so hard.
2. Clarity came to me on what I want to do. I want to work part-time and take master's courses toward IT with Health focus. (Now on the how and when, those are TBD's, but for me the WHAT is a huge step forward!)
3. Slowly but surely, my house is getting less chaotic. It's been clutter city here for months, literally. And little by little, we're making a dent in it. It was me only initially, but George is pitching in now too, without even asking. I just tell him how much I appreciate what he's doing :)
4. The sound of the rain. It reminds me of spring camping, the cool air and the sound of the rain tapping on the roof.
Ok, that was 4 :) I'm one to the good for tomorrow - lol!
Okay... I have three I think.
1.) My husband and I went shopping for groceries together. I like it when he's with me.
2.) We have really nice music playing... a new Ray Charles CD with a lot of duets, like w/Nora Jones, James Taylor... really beautiful. The house is quiet except for that and the fire burning.
3.) .... hmmm... I have had fewer stingers today. That's a welcome change.
1. Discovered I can still laugh even when feeling not so great
2. I am drinking a decaf coffee that acctually tastes like coffee!!!
3. My work (where I haven't been in 2 years)deposited a cheque for a salary increase, prorated that I was supposed to get almost 900.00! See, it always works out.....
1. A talk with my Mom helped turn my blue mood around; connecting with you guys later on reinforced it.
2. Went to the movies with BDG, and saw "Taken". It was really really good!
3. George got a job offer! Yeah, yippee, and yee-haw!
He has another interview at a company right here in town later this afternoon. So who knows, he may end up with a second offer (this is his third time in, and he's meeting with the president & getting a tour of the place; sounds pretty promising!) And a second interview at a company about 40 minutes away; that one would be a supervisory position, which could mean better pay. But of them all, my preference is the one he was offered yesterday, so anything more is just icing on the cake :)
(ramble, ramble ramble......)
